GîteCazal Visitors Comments & Quotes

We’ve met some lovely people over the past couple of years.  Some have obviously come looking for space and solitude and others have wanted to chat and pass the time of day.  Our children have also made some good friends and some are returning in 2011.

Here are some quotes from our visitors book:-

2009

“What a surprise awaited us on our arrival – photos do not do this beautiful setting and garden justice!”

“…We have visited Montségur (stunning), Carcassonne (fabulous ramparts), Mirepoix (unique & good for Super U), Lake Montbel (beautiful) and the Pyrenees via the yellow train (breathtaking views)…”

“Fanjeaux was good to visit – shopped in Vival and the patisserie”

2010

“The gîte is very pretty and spacious and the garden is pleasant to sit in on the warm summer evenings!  The pool has been great fun and is essential for cooling down in…The trampoline was just as fun – it was great to have such facilities in the garden…we found all the information in the packs given really helpful for finding our way round and deciding what to do…”

“Cazalrenoux is a very pretty village and we shall certainly miss it when we return to England”

“We have had a really fantastic holiday…trying to find somewhere to suit 2 boys aged 8 and 11 and an 18 month old toddler isn’t easy, but the whole holiday from start to finish was super.”

“The garden is beautiful.  Waking up to the smell of lavender was such a pleasure”

“We found something new every day – a walk in the mornings, a coffee in Mirepoix, what a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by…”

“Space City in Toulouse is a great day out….Carcassonne Castle, especially the jousting, is magical and is worth visiting just for the views alone.”

“A trip to Narbonne is a must, we went 3 times!”

“The beach at Gruissan is sandy & stretches for miles…We also visited the safari part at Sigean which was very enjoyable.”

“we are a family of foodies and we were not disappointed by the food….The market at Mirepoix is excellent – I recommend the Baba Ganoush!”

“We’ve enjoyed finding some interesting bugs, including a huge grasshopper.  We’ve had some great days out, including trips to the Dinosaur Museaum at Exsperaza, which was brilliant, the Butterfly Garden near Chalabre, the wonderful Monday market at Mirepoix & Space City at Toulouse”

“We have loved the simplicity of life in the village”

“every morning we would look out to the mountains and this gave us an indication of the weather and the day ahead”

“we loved Lac de Montbel.  We bought a kayak and the best part was sitting in the kayak looking around at the mountains and the stillness”
